September’s Hanohano O Kona Lecture

On September 28, Kona Historical Society’s Hanohano `O Kona Lecture Series welcomes MaryAnne Maigret, Archaeologist at the Puuhonua O Honaunau National Park. She will be presenting on the “Preservation and Stabilization of Hawaiian Stone Architecture and Landscape”. MaryAnne has a MA in Geography and a strong interest in historic preservation with all the mapping, data collection and preservation compliance that comes with that.
This is the September portion of a community lecture series held at the West Hawai`i Civic Center every last Wednesday of the month from 5:30-7:00p.m., that spotlights local and state speakers on a wide variety of cultural and historical subjects. Presented by Kona Historical Society, in cooperation with the County of Hawai’i, this lecture series is a gift from the Society to the community that has supported it for so long.
