The Kona Historical Society is raising money to expand its award-winning Kona Coffee Living History Farm. The money raised will be used to create a permanent exhibit space for “The Kona Coffee Story: Along the Hawai`i Belt Road,” the award-winning display created by the Japanese American National Museum, the Kona Japanese Civic Association, and the Kona Club of Honolulu.

The photographs below are of the national award-winning exhibit “The Kona Coffee Story” when it was opened at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles in 1997. The exhibit won the “Certification of Commendation” from the American Association for State & Local History, and traveled in the United States, Brazil, and throughout the State of Hawai`i before being donated to the Kona Historical Society.
