MEAGAN O'SHEA

Kailua-Kona Resident & Kona Historical Society Operations Coordinator

What I will remember most about my quarantine experience is being eternally grateful, every day, for living in Hawaii with my family. No two days are ever the same; picking papaya with geckos, catching a sleepy Waipi'o Valley bathed in the pastels of sunrise, or pausing to watch the sun greet the horizon in a variety of flourishes while taking stock of all that I do have - health, hope and the support of a compassionate community - and the strength to remind myself that this, too, shall pass.
