Kona resident, Realtor and Hawaii Island General Manager for Coldwell Banker Island Properties

What I will remember are the total vulnerability and uncertainty locally, globally, and even in our own home. The fear of no handbook or precedent procedures. The self auditing of what is truly important: family, ohana, community, and friendship. The real or imagined importance of toilet paper and Clorox wipes. Giving grace and patience in a time where all of our triggers and prickles are at high alert. Big Island is special.  We rallied and protected each other. No one went hungry and we honor our kūpuna.
