Kona Historical Society is happy to have Darr Gilreath joining us in the archives as a student volunteer for the Fall semester.

Darr comes to Kona Historical Society with a passion for community-oriented programs and projects. She is eager to gain knowledge and experience that will aid in the promotion and increase of community capacity. A Heritage Management graduate student from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo with a bachelor of arts degree in Anthropology from Ohio State University, Darr comes to us with a strong understanding of collections care and a love of history and culture.

Darr will be assisting Kona Historical Society Collections Manager Julie Kamiyama with day-to-day collections care activities and with the Society's digitization projects, which are working towards making our collections accessible online.
